For quite some time now, I feel like I am always running out of time. This really sucks because technically, I should have ample time for all the stuff that I want to do, may it be for my studies, for Aguman, for my downloaded shows (haha!) or for my other personal errands or plans. But alas, I find myself often not being able to do all that I need do in time. Although, I was still able to finish the more important tasks like reports just in the nick of time, but not without much hassles.
For example, last trimester, I ended up working on two major reports until 4am. Now, these two reports weren’t even that hard in the sense that I already had all the material I had and that I need not stay that late into the night to finish it. But I did, no thanks to my lack of focus and procrastination the nights before they were due. Yeah, yeah, I produced topnotch outputs in those reports and even presented them with confidence the day after despite lacking sleep. But the fact that I had to stay up late for something as minor as those reports compared to all the other major stuff I pulled all-nighters on, now that is really disappointingly frustrating.
Another example would be this very blog. For the past month or so, I haven’t been blogging as much as I want to (which I already tackled a few posts earlier). I have this backlog of posts for major topics (Cory Aquino, the conclusion of my first trimester at AMA, my new laptop, etc) and yet, I have not started to write about any of them. And with the rate things are going I might end up sharing my thoughts about them at a time when they would be sooo yesterday, haha!
I really need to have a more efficient time management. There are so many things I want to do and I know I have enough time for all of them. It’s just I need to properly allocate my time so that I can maximize its use.
Despite the presence of oh so many reminders for my different tasks, my Rainlendar (calendar and personal organizer application) seems useless. Perhaps I’ve been desensitized of its constant presence on my desktop (not to mention the small font, I haven’t figured out how to increase the size, if it’s even possible). I’ve tried personal diaries and organizers before – they just ended up being logbooks of what I’ve done instead of systematizing what I should be doing.
Oh what should I do?! For someone who is supposed to be an OC when it comes to these things, this is darn quietly infuriating.
I guess what I need is a personal assistant. Anyone who is meticulous, responsible and who speaks/write decent grammar is more than welcome to apply. Haha!
