Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig

Or not.

Valentine’s week can be a tough one for single people. True enough, I’ve read quite a number of lovelife-related or lack thereof posts on my Facebook feed on the run-up to February 14. Some were funny, some were bitter. Some were trying to be funny because they were really just that bitter. Haha!
But how was it for me? Well, it was a fantastic one. But in a lot of ways I didn’t expect.

*Red Ribbon Chocolate Fudge cake on Valentine’s Day with housemates – our own simple Valentine treat to ourselves. Haha!
*Started my OJT at EDS Innoventions – it’s just a small company but I think I will like it there. Been complaining about having to wait for what seems like forever for 5pm though. Haha!
*Frutti Froyo and Love Talk 101 with Mommies Grace and Joyce
*Debate antics at our ENGL 05 class – we didn’t win but I think it was enjoyable, haha.
*Got deluged with insane compliments on my culinary skills – from people I haven’t even personally met! Haha.
*Long overdue bonding with Gino. Finally got my awesome sun jar – it’s lit up right now.
*Almost done with my thesis manuscript – waiting on one more go signal and I’m off to the UP Shopping Centre to have my copies hard bound.
*One of my closest friends got engaged! Oh, wedding bells will be annually ringing in our inner circle. Haha!
*Simulation case study final proposal got approved. Required tasks are really easier accomplished when you like what you’re doing.
*Internet at the apartment is finally back!
*Finally found a copy of Sidney Sheldon’s Master of the Game. I’ve been craving to read this epic novel again for a long, long time now.

Considering that it was Valentine’s week, I was hardly ecstatic for romantic reasons, but hey, I’ll have my dose of a great week whenever I can.

“The thing is about the one that got away if he (she) was meant to be in your life then he (she) would have found his (her) way back to you. So you’ve moved on, you chose a different road. Good. Keep your eyes on that. If you’re always looking in the rear view mirror, you’re gonna miss the turn you need to make in the road ahead of you. And believe me, there’s always plenty of road ahead of you. Focus on that.”
~Brothers & Sisters Season 5, Episode 14
